It
is a common plant in India and largely used by Indian physicians.
The myrobalans found in the market have a pale buff colour,
are oval in shape and possess longitudinal ridges on the surface.
Myrobalans have been used as laxative. It is also used in chronic
diarrhoea & dysentery. Fruits & seeds are used for preparing
the medicine.
